Problems with Eggiquette

Unknown
edited November -1 in EggHead Forum
Beings as this is the Holiday season, I fired up 15 ABTs and promised my neighbor his first taste. After 50 minutes on the Egg they looked perfect. I had visions of neighborly good cheer as I stacked them onto a plate and grabbed a couple of long necks out of the fridge. That is where the holiday cheer segment of this story ends. [p]I remember waiting for them to cool off a little, which crisps the bacon. I recall, I think, tasting just one. My next recollection is looking down at an empty plate. The rest is just a blank.[p]Is this a common problem?

  • Petear,
Common problem? Eggspect it. I cooked 2 slabs of babybacks and a 4 lb Prime Rib last night for 6. Ask my wife this am for leftovers for lunch and was informed the guests were taking home every piece of meat the could get their hands on.
Jerky is a real big problem also.
I have a 5.5 lb Prime Rib on now and have every intention of keeping any leftovers for Monday.[p]CWM[p]

  • Petear,
I have a hard and fast rule with ABTs. I set half of them aside. Then I eat the first half. Then I try not to eat more than half of the half that remain, leaving half of the half for my guests, unless I eat that half of the half, too. I learned how to do this on Dukes of Hazzard. You know, "fifty puhcent uv fifty puhcent, boss?" I never, ever stray from this rule.[p]TNW
