I have only been on this site for a very short time but I must say the character and helpfulness of the people here is outstanding. Short story: I posted not to long ago about wanting to purchase a BGE and one of the responses came from Tn Slagamater in my EMAIL. He was very informative about the BGE and gave me a number of suggestion on how and what to look for concerning the Egg. He then sent some other EMAILS about accessories which were also helpful. In his final EMAIL he gave me a nickname of a man that was at an Eggfest in Waldorf. Md. which is not far from me. I hooked the nickname up on Google with Eggfest and BGE and tada (can't spell Voila) up popped an address and phone number. This led to me talking to James (frequents this website often) and ending up with a one time used, large Egg that was a demonstration model. It is coming with the Thermometer, Daisy Top, some sort of side extendors all for less than $600. Thsy are also disassembling it for me so it travels easily when I pick it up tomorrow.
Well here's to you Tn Slagamater and I am serious about that hunting or fishing trip up in Pennsylvania. If I learn how to cook I might meet you up in Waldorf.
