Putting on the New Spring Assist

I am fortunate to get the NEW design(double cantilever)spring assist with my new BGE. Putting on the lower band was no problem as the bolt lined up with the other side of the band and there was enough bolt thread to start the nut. But the top band's ear would not squeeze close enough for the bolt to thread through the other ear so it it had enough thread for the nut to start up. So I used a Quick Grip clamp with the big rubber padded grips to pull in the ears without any danger of damaging anything. All went well.
