OK. I love the guy, and I understand their poor logic ("more people pronounce it incorrectly, so we will pronounce it for their ears"), but it just drives me nuts that He pronounces the grape "KON-Koared" It's a "conquered" Grape.

The British marched on Lexington and "Conquered".

The show "The West Wing" a few years ago had a president from New Hampshire who kept talking about getting back to "Kon-Kored"...

Does it drive anyone nuts when they mangle your regional stuff for the sake of a national audience?

If the fake southern accents on television are as badly done as the fake Boston accents, I bet you get just as peeved as we do.
hahaha

if anyone cares, the guy who hung out at Walden was Henry David "thurrow" (with no more emphasis at either end of the name), not Henry David "THORE-oh".

There. Glad i got that off my chest.
