I use the search quite often and find that when I click on a topic link in the search results, I tend to click several replies to that topic. When I am done with that, I usually want to go back to my search results so I can read other related posts.
I look for some quick way to return to my search results, whether though a link on the page, or by using the back button of the browser.
Of course, the "return to index" link always goes to the today's posts, and not back to the search results. I understand this and also understand that implementing a new "return to search results" link placed right next to the "return to index" link may be too difficult or time consuming to implement.
When I use the back feature in my browser, I have to click 'back' x number times until I get back to the search page. Most browsers also have a dropdown menu that shows all the previous page names, so you can go back to a specific page in just 1 click. However, on the forum, all the pages just say "eggheadforum.com", so I cannot tell which page is the one that contains the search results. In the html, I believe if the tag were changed, it would allow the search page to stand out and someone could return to it quite easily.
sorry for the long and potentially confusing post. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks
