brining a turkey breast

Unknown
edited November -1 in EggHead Forum
Just wanted to know if you brine a turkey breast the same way you would a whole turkey. Same concentration of salt/water? Same amount of time? I've always brined the whole turkeys, but this year will be doing a breast only. Thanks for the input.

    Galloway,
it is all relative...no need to make a gallon or two of brine - just adjust to the size of the container (bag is my personal preference) and the bird or bird breast you have in mind to brine. All recipes end in "add water if needed to surround the ****" Well I always use bottled water to do that as I feel I have already boiled the brine concoction so what else I add had better be "clean".
