Great Crab Cakes...and a new sauce

I made the Tsunami Spin crabcakes last night and boy, were they the best! I garnished them with some lime wedges, but I wanted to a little sauce or dip or something, and came up with the rather unlikely combination of Ken Stone's Happy Pappy sauce mixed with an equal amount of mayonnaise and a little heavy cream. It had just the best combination of flavors wrapped up in a creamy texture. Delicious.
Cheers,
G.

    Gretl,
I was going to do those last night, but opted for the Ragin' River Maple Salmon. It was great, also. Never bought a lot of crab in San antonio, but I've got to try those guys. I've even got the Happy Pappy on hand. Thanks for the idea.[p]Mike[p]Mike

Gretl,[p]What a great idea for the sauce. We had discussed whipping up a batch of tartar sauce, but didn't have everything on hand....yours would have worked out perfectly...![p]Thanks for the idea...[p]Tonia

    Lawn ranger,
That's funny--I'm preparing Raging River Maple salmon tonight. I only buy crabmeat when I am very hungry and I always pay with a credit card. It's just horribly expensive, but hey--this ain't no dress rehearsal. I figure that eating out would have cost WAY more. I'm good at rationalizing spending money.
    Cheers,
