Hey y'all[p]My wife and I are wondering if we can cook a turkey in the egg stuffed with traditional bread stuffing? has anyone tried this how long at what temp? [p] Thanks for all replies, Bushgator

  • Bushgator, I'm sure the experts will be along shortly but from my experience - 2+ years of turkeys on the BGE - I have to say no.[p]Too much smoke flavor absorption. Too much moisture absorption. [p]I did just this on the Webber Bullet years ago. I knew better than to put any meat in the stuffing, but it was still not pretty.[p]Make your stuffing inside and stuff the bird with onion, apple and orange. And a splash of bourbon. :)[p]Just my $0.50 worth.[p]LVM

    I used those ingredients last year to stuff my bird but added cloves and poked them into the oranges :)
