Have had various results doing these. What would you suggest as to temp, elevated grill or not,. I have been rubbing them with olive oil and then sprinkling them generously with Dizzy Dust and then letting them sit for about an hour. Thanks for any info. [p]Ray Price

Babyray,[p]After letting them sit for an hour...if they don't look done enough..or you just need to hurry them along..I'd cook them on the egg..unless it's extremely hot where it is that you're letting them sit out...the in that case..just let them sit out till they're lookin like they is done..[p]When I cook these..I just rub the majeebers outta them..then drop them in the egg..without even letting them sit...believe me..I did let them sit once..and it was a total waste of time for both me AND the chicken..they didn't even move once..and I sure had to go to the bathroom..but was afraid I'd miss somethin..by the end of that hour..my legs was crossed..my eyes was crossed..I was dancin a jig like nobodies business...plus..I was using one of my hands as a sorta hose clamp..causin somethin near and dear..to assume the shape of a flower vase....and the pain was felt right clear through to my lint filled gnarly ol bellybutton..god almighty..I figured..even if that chicken did something miraculous..it ain't worth turning anythin a god awfull blue color..let alone something what you might wanna use for more then one thing..even if both of them things causes you to make the same exact faces you made when watchin them chickens in the first place...[p]Nah..once them little thiighs is rubbed..they is thrown on the egg righgt away..direct ..at about 300 degrees..for roughly 30 to 40 minutes...flippin them once along the way. When the outsides look like what I want...and if'n that 30-40 minutes ain't beeen hit...I'll move them all away from the hot spots..and sorta let them bake a bit..like in an oven..they gots some fat on em to keep them pretty moist..so cooken em that long ain't a problem..provided the heat ain't too high..now the thighs I get are not all that big..so the bigger ones might take longer...[p]We love thighs..sometimes I just cookem..and slice and make sammiches outta them..a little bit of mayo on top..great with many rubs..most specially Swamp Venom..and EZlife..them thighs is a big hit...you should see the happy looks I get from the better half whene I say.."hey honey..how bout some thighs tonight"...some women sure do love their chicken..I suppose...[p]ahh..the life of a Stump..[p]StumpBaby
