Melbourne Florida Eggheads

Just wondering if any fellow Eggheads in the melbourne FL area can suggest some good places to get meat or sea food, cooking supplies, and eggcessories.
I am not new to the area but somewhat new to cooking and only been Egging for a couple months.
I really like Petty's for meats. I know of downtown produce.
I usually use Cowboy Lump from Lowes or publix's Greenwise lump (although lately haven't been impressed).
If any one has any suggestions or knows of any good places where I can get some good food to cook or toy's and supplies for my Egg I would really appreciated it.

In Melbourne Beach about 1 1/2 miles south of Tuckaway Shores is a grocery store that has great meat & mid eastern foods. An olive lovers nirvana.
About 3 miles further south is a Publix. Down Town produce is out in west melbourne off ellis road almost to I-95.
Pettys is always good and on Eau Gallie on the beach side is The Green Turtle. Very similiar to Pettys.
Pinch-A-Penny off eau gallie and south patrick has a good selection of BGE toys.

Thanks for the advice Richard, I really appreciate it. Any suggestions on good lump? Right now I think I like Cowboy brand the best.

Publix Greenwise is good. Bought 20 bags on sale last year. $3.49 if I remember correctly. Now it is $5.99 regular. Naked Wizard has a lump database.

What part of Melbourne are you in? There's also Ken's meats on Aurora rd. and Amazing seafood by cypress.

Hi Pat,
I am in west melbourne but am familiar with most of melbourne and the surrounding area. I have heard about Ken's but never been there, I'll have to check it out. Is it like Pettys?
I haven't heard about Amazing seafood by cypress but would love to check it out. Where exactly is it? I'll try to google it too.

Yeah I think tuckaway shores is not far from me at all. I saw something about the mini fest there next weekend. What are the details of the mini fest? I would definitely like to come if I can make it.

Just a bunch of eggheads getting together to eat, drink and be merry!!! Or is that drink, eat.... :blink: We'll all be doing some cooks....Friday and Saturday. There should be about 30 of us around.... I'm sure there will be some people cooking early, and some people cooking late....so pretty much any time!! :woohoo: Everybody usually brings something to eat and share.
