Sorry I've been so invisible here. Lots of work stuff, lots of home stuff, and who the hell is gonna do this laundry? Had a great time at Texasfest. Was a much needed getaway and FINALLY got to try ABTs. Oh lord are those addictive or WHAT??? But my big test was the TRex steak method. Heard about it, read about it, and finally got to try it. The votes...A WINNER A WINNER. I don't know what the physics or chemistry is of this whole thing, but boy does it make that steak into butter or what? I even managed to reproduce those wonderful results on my small and a couple strips from Costco (never tried their meat...wasn't bad). Again, family swooned. Also picked up a pack of smokie links to toss in the freezer JUST in case I get this urge to try the ABTs (although how Spring Chicken does all those with bare hands is beyond me!).[p]All-in-all, was a great time. The drive there and back equally nice with the top down, good music on, and back roads all the way. I expect to see more of you at the next Texfest. Good people, good food, good time. Was a ride worth taking. I'll get my pictures downloaded today and see if anything interesting you haven't seen yet![p]mShark

One more thing! Took a variety of Ken Stone's rubs with to try on chicken breasts (which do make a great breakfast, by the way). Had everyone try some and vote. The absolute overall favorite was the Chili Pinon rub. Gave a little heat, a little spice, but not one of those overpowering burns you get from so many chili-based rubs. Brought out the best in the breast (the chickens..not mi...oh never mind). Get some of this stuff and add it to your repertoire. Just damn good.[p]mShark
