I'm figuring on cooking this bird on the rack with the drip pan at 300 degrees. Any suggestions?

    <p />Larry,
yeah, give that bird some company, it can get dark and scary when your alone under the dome. Stuff some peppers and let them be company for your bird.

    Larry,
I'd go closer to 350. Also, season under the skin with olive oil, garlic, pepper, rubs, whatever and rub the exterior with a little oil and seasoning for some great flavor and a crispy skin.

  • Wil,
Help! Our "egg" is new, and we have no instruction book for it on how to cook. We tried a half of a fresh ham and george cooked it more like on a Weber - disaster. We are now working on a turkey breast, but are flying by the seat of our pants. We figure 350 for 2-3 hours. Any suggestions? Also, do you know of any instruction books for the "egg"?

    goerge mack,
I hope you are cooking your breast indirect. The time and temp seems good.
There is a book and video but I don't recommend either. Just make a new subject post before each cook you try and a lot of helpfull people will show up. Also visit gfw's website on the link section of this website for more info.
Good luck and hope I helped,[p]CWM
