    George Smith,[p]There are two places in Memphis that I know carry the lump. Ken Rash's sells the Cowboy brand and they are located on Summer Ave. in Memphis and Poplar Ave. in Germantown. Also, the Schnucks Grocery chain sells a pretty good brand of lump also. I almost forgot the Fresh Market in the Memphis area also carries lump (I believe it is the Cowboy Brand in a Fresh Market Bag). Being the Barbeque mecca of the universe, Memphis does not have a lump shortage.

    George Smith,[p]Can't help much with Rochester area. Here in Minneapolis, I have, in desparate times, bought lump from Wal-Mart, and it's ok. If you ever manage the trip up to Minneapolis, there's an outfit called Northwest Charcoal & Chemical (612-879-8044) in south Minneapolis. They carry good lump and a nice assortment of the smoking woods.
