smoked hands

So I'm in the office and my hands are still smelling of smoke from Sunday's rib cook using some Jack Daniels wood chips. Makes me wish I had more leftovers, but seriously, I can't seem to get rid of the smell. Any suggestions? I'm thinking that perhaps some of it is from the rub as well, but it's just not going away after countless washes.

Rub cut lemons on them (watch out for cuts, yowza) or use one of those aluminum soap stones, I hear those are good for getting onion smell off so maybe would help with the smoke.Knoxville, TN

try using vinegar or lemon juice or GOJO citrus waterless handsoap.
Good luck. -
I have a friend that makes homemade soap. He has one with coffee grounds in it for taking scent off your hands. Try adding a small amount of grounds to your handfull of soap and see if that helps. His will take onions, clorox, fish, gasoline & many other things off my hands.

Great - thanks for all the advice! I've only had my egg now for three months or so and have been using it three to four times a week. Best investment in a long time. I'll start posting photos of the cooks, just need to read the instructions on how to do that here.

I took a cooking class once and the instructor said to get rid of onion smelling hands, rub them on stainless steel. Handled a few butter knives (carefully) and smell gone.

If you had a smoke flavored rub, thats where it's coming from. Buy you some disposable food safe gloves to use when rubbing. Problem gone. I concur with lemons for the current problem.
