can the regular forum be set for 36 days?

i noticed the 'off topic' and the 'forum feedback' are set to show the previous 36 days of posts whereas the regular forum is only set for 3. can the regular forum be changed to 36?

where you see 3 days, type in 36 and hit enter. it will give you 60 something pages to look at

yeah, i've got that. but then when you go to a different forum or refresh it defaults back to '3'.

i guess for those that use the forum on the regular, it's no big deal, but to those who only hit it up once in a while, it's pretty confusing and you could miss alot of stuff.

for instance... there is a meeting about the eggfest on the coast tonight, but unless you change the default number of days, you won't see it, even though it was posted less than two weeks ago.

We do get a boat load of posts every day 500 -700; so, 36 days would be on the order of 18,000 posts. This is way too much data for the default index page size -- it would bring the server to its knees if everybody fetched that many messages all the time.
