Chicken, New Accessories from thirdeye

I had contacted thirdeye about pricing on some items I noticed in one of the pictures in a post he made. The other day I was surprised to see a package from thirdeye. In the package was some accessories with a note to try these out and let him know what I thought. There was no charge and I was excited to get using the “Sticker” – “U” handle probe for checking meat tenderness and to try out the ‘plugs’ both “L” and “T” handle.
This is what was in the package.

You know me, I love to play with things. Chicken is juicy and a great testing medium. Here is the cook.
400° indirect

When testing the done temperature of chicken there is always the juices running out of the probe holes, the solution is the thirdeye plugs.

Done and a short rest with the plugs

The plugs stopped the juice leakage when pulling the thermapen out after testing. At first looked I liked the "T" configuration, but using either the "T" or "L" was just fine. It probably would be nice to have 6 plugs available.
When I did a second temperature test, I removed the plug and using the same hole I directed the thermapen in a different direction and depth. Then put the plug back in the same place.
All very useful accessories and worth having.
BTW, the chicken was great. The only picture I took of the sliced meat was way washed out and there was no detail available.

Sure glad you showed pics of how to use the plugs, Kent! My imagination went into overtime on that one :pinch: ! Thought I was the only Egger to do "multiple pokes"
