Check this baby out... one sweet axe!

I had never heard of these guys until I recently watched the movie "Sweet and Lowdown" with Sean Penn (who is hilarious by the way)... if you ever watch in watch for the "hanging moon" scene.
Anyway, most of the contemporary versions of the guitar music is played by a guy called Howard Alden, whom I confess I also have never heard of and apparently plays a Benedetto. Alden is amazing! If you like Django you will love Alden's stylizings done for this movie's soundtrack. Lacking any notion of a 30's swing revivalist's stodginess. Clean and true to the spirt and excitement of one of Americas truly great and unique musical eras.

I'm into the ones with thick necks and really beefy strings like garage door springs.
I don't think my homeowner's insurance would cover a $26K guitar without a serious endorsement.
