Big Green Egg Arriving Tomorrow

Hello,[p]We purchased the Big Green Egg yesterday and it will be delivered tomorrow... really looking forward to it.[p]We live on the Texas Gulf Coast (hurricane territory).[p]We bought the largest one. I believe it weighs about 165 lbs. Can someone help us about precautions that need to taken about the Big Green Egg when a storm is coming in?[p]Chris in Pearland, TX

    Chris M, Stock up on charcoal! Sounds funny, but that sells out prior to a hurricane, and if the power fails, you'll want to cook all the meat in the freezer rather than lose it. Neighbors will also bring frozen (thawing) meats.

    When a hurricane approaches, place the BGE directly between your house and the storm. When the storm senses the awsome power of the BGE, it will move east or west and miss you completely. Behold the power of the Egg!! Wish I had mine when Hugo came through!! LOL![p]Frosty Ones,
