nest vs. cart
I am seriously considering the cart. I have a small covered deck (12X12), and then 6" drop down to uncovered cement patio. Figured I'd keep the egg on the covered deck for the winter, and then on the open patio for the summer. Thant way I won't need a cover...??[p]I am by myself, and just wondering about the ease of moving either of these things, stability...etc. not only on the deck, but off the 6" drop. [p]Do most of you have the nest or is the cart more beneficial/useful in this instance. [p]Thanks

Patti,
Let me chime in since it's pretty quiet around here today with all the folks away in Atlanta. (I went last year and am sorry I couldn't get away for this one - it's a great event.)[p]I have both my large and small egg in nests. The nest will roll easily on a flat surface such as a concrete slab. But be careful. The egg is top heavy and you should pull it not push it so that it doesn't tip over. If your deck is a solid surface, then a nest will work as well as a cart. If your deck is a set of planks with wide openings between the planks, get a cart. The wheels on the nest are fairly small and will get stuck in those cracks[p]As for moving a large egg down a 6" drop, get a couple friends to help! A large weighs over 100 pounds and it's pretty tippy.[p]The only drawback to the nest is not having a working surface around the egg. I plan to build a cart next year since I haven't come across a small table that I could keep next to the egg for moving food in and out of the egg.[p]Take care,
Andy
