pizza on the platesetter?

Can someone out there tell me is it okay to cook pizza on the platesetter? Or do I need to buy a pizza stone to sit on top of the platesetter? I have ordered a peel, screen, and knife so I am just about ready to try pizza ala egg! Your help is greatly appreciated.BTW I hope y'all have a great time at Eggtoberfest! Maybe I can attend next year.

no, you still need to buy a pizza stone...and since you have this much invested why skimp getting a cheap stone? BGE sells one that is made of the same ceramic...and like the BGE itself is a lifetime investment.

Yep, you put the plate setter in legs down, and then put the stone on top of the plate setter.[p]TNW

You can use fire bricks and set your pizza stone on the bricks without using a place setter. I never used a plate setter, but I thought it was made of exactly the same stuff as the pizza stone.
