I use my D-70 for forum pictures so I guess this can be sort of on topic.

I have had my D-70 for a while. Evidently there was/is an issue with the built in flash not firing on some of the D-70's.

I checked with Nikon for a fix and they said a minimum of $100 plus shipping back and forth. Called some local repair shops and was quoted the $100 up to $250.

If anyone is having a like problem ping me or email me, the fix is pretty easy, just some time and no $$$.

Mrs. ewillie has the D60, no issue noted there. They are incredibly easy to use and get great pictures.

Sorry to hear you are having this problem, but I hope you can find someone to take care of it for less than you mention.

I am not sure if it was just the early models of the D-70 or all models, however, that specific problem was pretty common.

I did fix the problem with my D-70. No service fee, no $$$ spend, and all in all an easy fix.

If someone on the forum had the same problem just wanted to share the fix.
