Picked up some scallops at Sams this afternoon and came home and
hit the archives. Read so much I don't know whose recipe I used but this is what I did.
Marinated for 30 to 45 minutes in lemon juice, olive oil and garlic powder--did not measure just added some. set Humpty to climb to 500 and put the scallops on a pan with holes for 3 to 5 minutes a side. heated the marinade from the scallops to a boil in a sauce pan then poured that mixture over the scallops and linguine. AWESOME, AWESOME Thanks to whosever recipe I used. forgot-also added raging river rub.

djm5x9,[p]How long do you cook those and what temp? Those look good and I just got a whole bunch from a friend... Did you use anything else, or just bacon for seasoning? Thanks.

Scottie,[p]I did some with Emeril's Essence that turned out great. Used Wise One's recipe from the BGE forum cookbook he has compiled. Here's a pic and a link to the cookbook...[p][p]Dizzy Pig's Raging River Rub would also be outstanding. I did some shrimp dusted with that about two weeks ago and they were to die for! I'm sure that scallops work as well.[p]Give them a try, they're really good...[p]QBabe

QBabe,
Darn it all! Try this...[p][p]QB

Scottie:[p]Seasoning & bacon. Size governs time, you do not want to over cook. These were cooked a couple of minutes each side I think at about 450 degrees.

djm5x9,[p]Thanks. The ones I have are pretty big. I might try some naked, with just bacon and others I will add some spices.

Scottie:[p]Another thought is a short bath in some fresh lime juice, season, and grill. Certainly would beat this club sammich . . .
