I think vidalia1 knows a good bit about them...ask him. Maybe he'll see this and chime in.
They were used at a BGE class he attended this week.....they look pretty good but I have no idea on price or availability. Vidalia posted some pics yesterday. -
Might have to ping him
-
all he can help with is gnawing on a t-bone
-
Listen to Bente,he's the man when it comes to flexible skewers
-
That was my bone. Wish I still had that prime aged contact.

Those look great, if you ever need to do alot of skewered food on the egg they would be great.

I think this is what you are looking for.

Hope it helps you all out. -
I was at the class on Thursday and bought 2 pkgs. Each package contains 2 wires. Last night I cooked pork kebabs and it made things REAL easy. I prepped the food and then skewered it. From there I placed the wires in a 1 gallon zip bag and then added my marinade. After marinating for 3 hours onto the egg they went.
What I like about them is one end has a loop and the other has the skewer. While food is cooking it is very easy to grab each end and flip/turn when needed.
If I remember each package was around $12 each. Kinda expensive but I'll never have to buy wood skewers and soak. Best part, the wires are dishwasher-safe so cleaning is a snap. -
Obviously Amazon has a better price on the same models sold at BGE.

I bought 3 packs and used them for the first time yesterday. They are great & easy to use. Like Teddy said they are easy to handle and make grilling with them very easy...See my post from last Thurs night where the BGE staff had 200 shrimp cooking at once...WOW
