Need Ideas

I have been goading a friends mother into buying him a bge for some time now. It has gotten to the point of slipping pamplets into her purse while dining out with them. It has become somewhat of a game and she is due to visit in Oct. He and I are trying to come up with some type of head gear that looks like an egg. Inside of this we will have a soda/beer can with dry ice and just before we meet her for dinner will fill with water for the smoke affect. What can we make the bge out of ?

Ok, you can join the "We-have-waaaaaay-too-much-time-on-our-hands" club. Florists have flower pots made out of cardboard, paper machie sort of stuff. I wonder if you could find a one shaped like a flower pot and one shaped like a bowl. They often put thin plastic liners in these puppies which would hold the water and the dry ice. I'm thinking that these pots are used at xmas for poinsettias.[p]TNW

Mitch,[p]Plaster tape, like they used to make cast out of (I think most are fiberglass tape now). You'll need a form ... maybe a balloon? It should be available in a pharmacy. I've used it before to make a Roman centurion's helmet, years ago.

Blow up a balloon, cover it with sheets of newspaper dipped in laundry starch and layered on the balloon. Paint when dried. It can also be cut and hinged if needed

Thanks to all ! Got some good ideas. The thing of it is, she knows it is going to happen, she just doesn't know what or when. Friend's step dad is coming this trip and will get him in on it. And yes I do have too much time on my hands.
