I think you're in line for a prostate exam or maybe a colonoscopy. I know that Doctors usually get that role, but certainly a highly trained nurse could assist in shoving something up there...you know, out of love and admiration.

no kidding? ...no like i haven't been in a hospital lately.. . .it was a JOKE pete, a JOKE . ... i can tell you one thing though, and i'm being serious as a heart attack, this world does need plenty of good nurses...and good nurses with the ability to LISTEN to their patients. . ..hope you can be one of those....

I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor -- nursing is a terrific profession. I have a cousin that just finished nursing school in KC and is going to work for a plastic surgeon.

My oldest daughter has expressed a keen interest in it as well. I hope she follows that path.

Just remember to keep the oral and rectal thermometers separate. If you get 'em mixed up, just give a little sniff (or taste if so inclined). That's all the tips I have for ya.

That's one industry that should be recession proof. People get sick not matter what.

I went the opposite way 12 years ago. Was Pre-Med, worked 9 years all in different parts of he major hospital here and somehow ended up in IT. One thing led to another and before I blinked I had an IT career.
