vented cover

Last night I purchased a table and cover for my large egg. After getting everything together, I noticed the cover did not have a vent!
After looking on the site, i found out the BGE makes a regular cover and a more expensive - heavy duty vented cover! I didnt even realize I had a choice!
wondering if the vented cover is the one I should have purchased. Anyone know much about the difference and if the upgrade is worth it! Sounds like alot of people dont even worry about a cover - but i concerned about the Michigan winters on the Cypress wood!
Thanks

I have a non-vented cover for my large and the table it sits in. It has been sitting in the Florida rain and sunshine for 3 1/2 years and so far no problems.

Thks Richard! I just noticed the vented cover is about $30 dollars more! Thinking the one I have should be fine! the cover sits about 6 inches off the ground so it should get air circulating! just wondering if the vent really does anything special!

I've had a non-vented since day one. No problem.
