GrillMeister, wow! i'm totally impressed(not easy to do) i've had my egg about a month now and am totally hooked....i've been cooking and smoking in my six' by six' log smoke house...but it's uses alot of wood just to cook a chicken or a turkey...i'm now hooked on wood fired pizza...(the main reason i bought the egg)

GrillMeister, wow! 68 pounds on one BGE. I thought I was soing good with 30 pounds on 4 BGEs thsi summer. I guess we'll have to wait for Wil to post to see how much butt one can possibly put on a single BGE. But until he does, I think this is the record.

Actually it was not 68lbs, but 52. Still it is very impressive. Wonder who is going to host a page for Guiness Book of Egging?? Wil and Driftpin are already in there. 68 pounds is the full case weight, still have one 16 pound cryovaced pack that is in the freezer, so there is 52 pounds on there.[p]

mad max beyond eggdome,[p]Somebody dropped a nickel..was no doubt one of us was gonna bend down and pick it up...ya'll may not think a nickel done buys squat..but in my neck of the woods..it's at least half a corn dogs worth..and like momma used to say..her mouth full..half a corn dog is betta than no corn dog at all..sometimes yah gotta think there is just no way momma done quit school in the fourth grade..most specially when she done comes up with some real good thinkin like that.[p]but I must admit..that seein me and log bendin over for a nickel ain't nuttin...matter of fact...you ain't seen nuttin till you seen what cousin Billy done that one time...and it's good he only done it once..some folks sure do get to yellin loud sometimes...[p]It was late one night..in the summer of 95..one of them there real hot muggy..nights..the kind what scares prickly pears into thinking they may fall..causin them to hang onto the nearest thing what would help..and makin menfolk walk funny..least every three steps or so..... and Billy and me had gone down to the local pub..for to drink some cold beers..and try and cool down a bit. We was sittin there..starin shamelessly at a coupla nice toothless women of the opposite sex..when the manager of this place..prolly noticin all us hot sweaty folks..decided to have a contest to see who all had the hottest body.[p]We sat and watched..as this contest went on...folks from the audience gettin up there tryin to show who was the hottest. Some folks were tryin to win this contest even though they knew they ain't hot...matter of fact..them there toothless women we was lookin at..tried to win..and Billy was the first to point out that if anything..they was provin they was cold up there..not hot. I think maybe Billy thought that was pretty funny..them toothless womenfolk up there..pretendin to be hot..cause after he done said that.. he sure did laugh a lot.[p]Well...the time came round I think for us to be votin on who we think is the hottest..and I thought maybe Billy was not sure on who to vote fer, cause he done asked the waitress for a pen..and he done went off to the mens room. I thought maybe Billy is just like poppa..and he does his best thinkin in the mens room...but just two minutes later.....Billy comes runnin outta the mens romm..and up onto the stage...I think maybe he got so hot...all of a sudden..prolly like one of them hot flashes momma is always gettin..that he decided maybe if'n he hurries..he can win that contest real quick. He musta sure got hot real fast..cause he ran up there so fast..he done forgot to pull his undergarments back on..poor Billy..I don't know if'n he knew it or not..but he was standin up there..lookin like the poster boy for the Free Willy campaign.....and just then......as we was all lookin on....[p]The music started..and Billy ...I think realizin something what shoulda been covered was not...got a little smirk on his face and turned around...and that's when I saw it...someone musta been playin a trick on cousin Billy..and done painted some letters on his backside..each nubbly cheek showing a large black W...and ....as the audience started clappin....and with the beat of the music..causin Billy started doing cartwheels across the stage..and as the crowd watched...a low rumbling was heard..and slowly ..as Billy made his way across the stage..the rumbling got louder..and louder....and within minutes...I realized...the entire place..for some strange reason..was chanting wow...mom...wow....mom....wow....mom...and I knew ..even before cousin Billy got to the end of the stage..no matter how hot he...or anybody else had been that evening..he had won...cause...anybody that made so many folks think of their mommas like that..would surely be voted for...and would definitely bring home some kinda prize. Sure enough...cousin Billy brought home the prize that night. [p]I remember sittting there..hearing his name being called...and 1 minute later..watching..as he came back across the stage......doing cartwheels.....the audience..apparently very pleased by the outcome..raising their hands in the air..and chanting...wow..mom....wow...mom....wow...mom.... [p]Ahh..the life of a Stump...[p]StumpBaby[p]
