any opinions on ultra-sonic sound?
a gun is out of the question and a trap is too, but we are having a raccoon problem this year that is driving me and my dogs nuts! I have seen a couple electric devices including a cool battery operated gun that emits high frequency sounds which supposedly will drive off wild animals, but safe for humans and when done properly with pets inside will be safe too. Any opinion before I blow $80 to see if they work?

Have you ruled out the have a heart live traps. They work great. Then just relocate the guy. They also have some good repelants.

I can help with some supersonic pest control

actually they are illegal up here as you must kill the pest caught or be fined and trust me it happens! Weird I know!

If he is that much of a problem I would be willing to take my chances. It looks like you live in a rural area any way.

I tried some of these devices years ago to repel varmint from the house and saw no positive results. If they had no impact on mice and roaches I doubt that they are going to impress a raccoon very well.

People around here will circle their sweet corn patch with multiple strands of electric fence. Have also heard a radio playing sports channel helps used with the electric fence. Normally you know when the sweet corn hits its peak flavor because the coons eat it the night before you are going to pick it. :pinch:
