We want to cook a pizza tonight on our egg. First time for us. Any insight on what temperature and how long. We have a pizza stone (never used).

Forgot to add, the pizza will probably be frozen. If that matters let me know.

jim,[p]You will need to space you pizza stone up to the opening lip level of your Egg so you can insert/remove the pie easily. Cook as per frozen box directions adding 50°F to the cooking temperature (use the directions timing). Preheat the pizza stone with your Egg. Cook the pie on a wire rack set on the pizza stone (they tend to burn if cooked directly on the pizza stone.[p]Good luck,

jim,[p]I cook homemade pizza at about 500-550* for 10-12 minutes. Make sure you heat the stone for about 15-20 minutes before you put on the pizza. Spin's recipe for sauce (BGE Recipes) is great. Good luck!

Spin,[p]Would a pizza screen help for a frozen pizza?
-
GrillMeister,[p]A pizza screen would work fine. [p]Spin

Spin,[p]Cool. I picked up a couple with pans & a peel this week at a supply house. I'll practice my peel work on Freschettas.[p]Any tips other than preheat to 400 and slap it on?
