So decided to go with some 20 oz. Ribeyes for us guys, and a 12 oz. filet for the pretty one of the bunch. She asked to not have any char/sear, so I accomodated. Kept the meal real simple...
Meat, Steamed Edamame, Sourdough bread, half of a twice baked tater (didn't want to waste room and not finish the cow), and a request from m'lady that we all partake of some Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade. Not bad, actually tasty  , but I was missing my Yuengling for sure. :P

It was raining pretty bad in Augusta last night, so I was thankful to have the table on wheels to pull close to the house. Here are a couple of pics.

Man those Ribeyes were big...that filet wasn't small, but look at it next to the big boys.

Plated

The plated picture was taken just after we thanked the Lord for blessing us with wonderful food to eat. I pull out the camera and was bracing for some jabs about taking pictures of food and how weird that is partly because a fair amount of discussion was had on this topic on the forum lately. Anyway, the next thing that happened was priceless. My baby said, "Go ahead honey...take pictures for your website buddies." She then turned to our guest (my best buddy) and said, "He takes pictures of everything he cooks so he can show off to a bunch of people on this Big Green Egg website that are just as crazy as he is." My buddy responded by saying that he thought I took the pictures to show him and make him jealous when he isn't eating with us. Both were right.

She also accused me of posting pictures of my cooks on Facebook. To which I said, "You must be crazy...I haven't done that in a long time."

Regardless, it was a banner night for the camera/food/forum discussion at my house. There was an acceptance and legitimacy given to my addiction that I haven't felt before. Sometimes you can just feel a shift in the way people feel about a habit (good or bad) that you have. I felt proud for all of us here.
