Whats the Most Challenging Cook You Ever Attempted and came out so good you surprised yourself and your family or friends. Please use pictures.
I would have to say Mad Max Turkey, For the first time and now do it all the time and love it. Not that hard now.

Also a family recipe, we call it meat pies. Classic name, lol.

PBM,
Hands down--Boneless stuffed wings. It is baaaaarutal deboning a wing while leaving it intack. These were stuffed with penne. Nice presentation, unlimitied variations, tough work. Scott -
I can spell intact. I really can.

I don't have pictures for this (sorry), but the most challenging "cook" I've ever done was a "bring your own meat" party for about 50 people. I had three Eggs going and people would just bring me something to cook - it was almost like being a short order cook. I think I cooked over 10 different types of food that night - CRAZY!! Not sure I'll ever do that again, but it was fun.

Does feeding 3000+ in the cold and rain count??

Yes, stike I found yet another opportunity.. You'll get over it.. -
Very impressive! - I wouldn't even try it, 'coz I'd completely destroy those wings trying to get dem bones out. :laugh:South SLO County

You mean this work of art?
I just wish I had a better camera to capture the true essence of it all. -
Well most challenging?...I guess I have two. Sourdough bread, making the starter from scratch and the baking setups, all a big learning curve. And the other was learning to bbq pulled beef and then getting a recipe down that worked well for the egg. A lot of work but a labor of love. :woohoo:

you knob. wasn'tr very drunk, either. two or three beers. hahaha
i was just distracted by the intelligent conversation.

That looks absolutely AWESOME Max. WOW. Always wanted to do a Turducken, but the better half always turns her nose up. Might be able to pull it off, if I can get her to look at those pictures.

Hey Pete that is great and the prize is being able to do such a good thing and use your Eggs.
When all done you can go home and feel real good about your self, I don't believe there is a better prize then that.
-
Some amazing cooks I see you all done here, something for some of us to think about and try in the future. Thanks Everyone.

I think that the most challenging cook for me was with "The Wolf" at Ft. Bragg  We had 24 butts going on 4 eggs, and they all had to be done,"at serving time" It was a ton of fun though(for me anyway)
Thanks for reposting that link Pete,I lost it when my pooter crashed and burned :pinch: Here's a few more pics
Here's Pete workin the taters on my XL(and talkin to the crowd) :P
We all froze our a$$es off,but it was well worth it....really
Sorry for too many pics, but this was a very rewarding experience for me -
Pete's got one next week and at the end of August.
-

Bill in St Louis -
An easy cook but a lot of pressure and logistics to over come which made it challenging. A 12 Boston Butt's for 250-300 people for a friends funeral reception. 7 on the XL and 5 on the Large

there are a few chefs on boards here that never post their stuff, and folks either givin' out awards or reminding us of theirs.
where are their over-the-top cooks?
let's go you self-proclaimed pros. let's see it.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante
