-
There is an Egg in the picture..and lump also.....Here's what I'm talkin bout...
-
 I was beeing a......well u know.
-
Nice iron.Is it a Gamo?
-
Yep....varmint hunter..on YB's recommendation a year or so back....flashlight and laser..1200 fps with the fancy pellets, 1000 with lead...was a LOT of fun getting it sighted..
-
I bet.I have a.17 HMR that I'm thinkin about mounting that gamo rig on.
-
Kim's dad saves them all year then throws a squirrel stew party, its become a pretty big event. -RP
-
In due time my friend...the opportunity hasn't been right yet...
-
So far it seems to be a decent light/laser...time will tell it if holds adjustments..and if the scopes maintains accuracy..
-
as i understand it .. pellet rifles have a totally different type of recoil and need scopes designed for that purpose,,i am not sure , then , that pellet scopes would hold up to a standard rifle.. it you try let us know how it works..

My friend,Gloria, grew up in Arkansas, and has been telling me for several years how great squirrel brains are after a day of hunting with her father. Can not find them here in Sam's in Florida any ideas?
-
Nice little piece. Is that .177 or .22 caliber?
I've got an RWS .177 will go through a piece of 3/4" plywood at 20+ yards and also has been pretty accurate at 50+ yards on the yard varmints. -
snuck up on a bunny using the fancy pellet.. went right thru it...it walked over and started eating the green beans .. i went back to lead for the back yard [small yard]
-
A .17 HMR is only a .22 mag necked down to a .17 caliber.I use a Redfield scope. My only interest is adding the lazer and light to my existing setup. My dad has a .22 Henry with the complete Gamo setup and it works wonderfully.I would'nt reccomend using the WHOLE setup-scope etc on a caliber with more recoil than a .22 LR.
-
Better pass on the squirrel brains man, they have been linked to something like mad cow disease....and racking up deaths in Kentucky.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery
-
People go NUTS.... haha
-
At my age and years with her, Mad Cow disease is a salvation. Just kidding. LOL

I have done lots of target shooting in my time and I want to see your scores improve on the target. No more 90 or less out of a possible 100 score on ten shots at the bulls eye.I know you can do it.I always got a 99 to 100 score all the time. Now this was with a 22 target rifle in the prone position on the range. If I would have had that dam lump it could have been better.I always kid my wife that I should have been a sniper in the CIA or other agency in the government. But I chose to be in the audio and video business for many years.
-
Yo, Wess.......if you need 9 more bags for sighting in purposes let me know!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
-
i looked at that rifle this winter when I was in cabelas. I went for the beeman combo, came with scope and rings.
Similar velocities as the gamo, and damned if it isnt accurate as hell!
I'm 3 for 4 on tree varmints out my screen door. The squirrels eat my house plants when we put them outside (they killed a 60 year old christmas cactus last summer. darned near broke my wife's heart) and they drive my lab nuts.
I gotta get about 5 more before they stop 'appearing' out my back porch haha. -
thanks for the info... happy hunting
-
Randy,
The guy from Southern MO that has been with me at the past two eggfests had everybody convinced that the Polish sausage he was cooking was squirrel. It was hilarious.

If anyone wants any target practice you are more than welcome in my back yard. In addition to the squirrels, there is a chipmunk that is driving me insane because it is causing me stone wall to collapse.
-
Then I decided to just pull out the .22 and use LR CB Caps for operation 'Rodent Rduction'. Squirrels and chipmunks have been put on notice. A few persistent ones have eaten some hot lead. Quieter than high powered air rifles, probably more knock down than high velocity .177 rifles. Plus, it's got a 6 round clip (in case I miss).

Brains n eggs,mightee tastee!Pork or squirrel.
-
and nail the neighbor behind you!!
-
That might be fun he runs around naked.
-
Next your gonna tell me Mike's sausage was really raccoon?
-
Glad you like it Wess....I have really used mine.
