Handle replacement still going strong

Carved a handle about 4 years ago for my large egg and it's still a good grip, I did not think it would hold up this long. Must be the beef grease keeping it waterproof? It's gotten a nice lump dust patina.

you're right - oak doesn't normally hold up that well in the elements. I see you have also replaced your wings with solid boards too so your egg must be getting a lot of TLC!

BTW anybody else notice that the Lawn Ranger has sort of been MIA for a while? Hope he's OK...
