Take a minute to view this video. It is a real time saver
GREAT TIP...Peeling a potato the easy way. If you make potato salad, you are going to want to watch this one.
Too bad we didn't know about this YEARS ago!
Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island is in the video. I have not seen her in ages. Peeling the cooked potato was the least desirable part in making a potato salad.
Check this out! Peeling a cooked potato couldn't be easier. No need for a peeler. Enjoy.

That's nifty, but I use red potatoes and leave the skin on! Go for it!!! 8 - ),,,

Same trick works for peeling peaches too, for those so inclined to make a cobbler using fresh peaches.
A minute in the boiling water, then a minute in the ice bath, skin slips right off. -
she went FIFTEEN minutes in the water.... did that sound odd to anyone but me?ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

wasn't she cooking the potato? I didn't watch the video, I cut to the chase at the end to see what "miracle" she was going to pull.

15 minutes sounded a little long to me too.

i guess, yeah, you are right. assuming you are cooking the potato in the long run, you'd be boiling it anyway. but in that case you'd go longer, no?
i mean, let's see her make potato chips out of that thing now.
likewise, if she's making potato salad, she needs to cook the potato more.
i dunno.

I would have thought this was on topic.
