1st boston butt for the 4th

cooked my 1st butt this past weekend. all i can say is wow!!! cooked it 16hours and did not get much sleep the night before worrying about the temp. i should of had more faith in my egg. lol i will be cooking another one soon.

I dont use any draft control systems either but what will give you some peace of mind and some good sleep is a Marervck ET73 remote theremometer. I picked one up for $39. it has hi/low alarms. If you get out of range on temps you won't ruin the cook.
