Gasket Replacement

Hello All
I am trying to master the art of pizza making and I am trying to cook at high temps (600-700 degrees) and it seems that my gasket material is already starting to go. I saw someone on here talking about using a different high temp gasket other than the standard BGE gasket. If there is something else what is it and where do you get it?

OK first off IMHO you don't have to go that high of a temp for pizza. I use between 450 to 500, on my pizzas and calzones. Here is a link on gasket material I used and very happy with it.

Do a search here on the forum for 'gasket' and you will have enough reading material for quite a while. You will probably want to replace your gasket with a 'nomex gasket' which has no adhesive - you buy a can of adhesive spray. There are lots of step by step descriptions of how to change your gasket.
You will also find a lot of people who do not use a gasket - never bothered to replace it when theirs burned out.Large BGE
