In response to JAppledog's request for the "Ultimate Rub", and using the ingredient listing posted by Smokey Bob, I came up with a Lavender/Herb rub. I submitted it just a few minutes ago; you can find it at the URL below.[p]I tried it on a boneless leg of lamb last night, and it was delicious.[p]Ken

    Smokey ,
Sorry, I'm camera-deprived. For last night's experiment, I cut off the netting so I could get rub over the entire surface. While I could have tied the leg back together, it was easier to just use a ham stocking. Then I Egged over a drip pan at 250° to 135° internal, removed and foil-wrapped to finish on the counter. (I prefer my lamb on the rare to medium side.)[p]Ken

BlueSmoke,[p]I have a rack of lamb I can't wait to cook (special at Costco a few weeks ago). That stuff is expen$ive, but in need of a good home (the egg will be happy to accommodate).[p]BTW, we need to drag you into the 21st century (kicking and screaming if needed) and get you setup with a digicam. They're getting real inexpensive and fun![p]Smokey
