Mold inside the egg keeps coming back, how to clean permanently

I keep getting a mold or fungus inside the egg, even after I clean it all out, it keeps coming back, any ideas how to clean it

Sounds like you need to cook more often![p]Running a good hot fire will knock the stuff out, but it will continue to return if you lock moisture in it for days or weeks at a time. If you won't be using my cooker for a while, just open the egg and let it air out on the first dry day after your cook.[p]Beers!

dmarte, keep it dry and open the vents when it's not in use.

I guess that's one big advantage to living up here in the frozen north....I've had my BGE for about 8 years now, and have never seen any mold growing on it.
