Forum is painfully slow for me

Hello, I'm excited about having our new Egg and it's taking 30 seconds for the forum to open. Clicking on a thread can take 15-30 seconds before it opens.

I'm thinking I've got a slow router somewhere inbetween (uneducated guess). Wish I could log onto a citrix server and surf this site. Any suggestions? I'm on a cable modem and everything else loads quickly.

EDIT: I just came back (several hours after posting) and the forum is the fastest it's been since I registered. Hope it stays like this :cheer:

    Rod, I'm sad to see that nobody responded to your plea for help...maybe just because you seemed to have solved your problem.
    I just posted a similar problem....my loading is also painfully slow. All my many other forums I belong to, load normal. (fast, I'm on DSL)
    I love this site, but spend waaay too much time, just waiting for pages to load.
    ANY idea's? I don't know WHERE to turn...
