What do most of you do. Once pulled do you just serve it or is is best to add a little sauce to it?

I like to add a mixture of Apple cider vinegar, sugar, and some red chili flakes. No sauce here, that's for the person consuming to decide.

I have to agree with SoonerChris, it's pretty much a personal preference. I am experimenting and the other night added some Apple Cider vinegar and some sauce and liked it just fine. Some times I add some rub and some sauce, sometimes just the sauce. One of these days I'll get it just right.

I like the apple cider sauce. I usually use the Elder Ward (sp) recipe in the BGE cookbook. If anyone wants BBQ sauce, they can add it themselves. The cider sauce disappears and takes the greasy stuff away.

As far as I'm concerned, sauce is a condiment to be offered to those who wish to use it "ON THE SIDE".
-
I like a sweet/spicey sause with just a hint of vinigar with mine. I make it up in a squeeze honey bottle and let every one add as much or as little as they want.

What I have done and have recieved good reviews is to not sauce and have sauce available. However if you pull and it will be some time before you serve, lightly sauce to help keep the meat moist. If you do sauce don't suace so much that it takes away from the taste of the meat and your work. Some people like it plain and no sauce from the Egg.

Sauce on the side,we use a 70-30 mix Stubbs moppin sauce and bbq sauce w/jalapeno slaw !!! you need the crunch.

I have had advice on both sides... I will play it safe with having it on the side, just in case...

Smart girl.Iknew it!

I use to mix sauce in. Then the kids didn't like sauce so I started putting it on the side. I did not realize how much flavor I was covering up. Always on the side now.

Sauce on the side. The people I serve mine to don't all like the same sauce I do. So, sauce on the side and let them decide which they want.
