Cant find the stuff in Tampa. What can I use that will be close?

Try a latin grocery store and buy a package of whole dried ancho chilies. Guajillo will work also. Some times depending on the store they are in bulk and just get what you need.
Dry in oven over night at 200F and then run thru coffee/spice grinder. DO NOT breath the fumes or powder. -
I'll give that a shot. Now I have to find whole chillies

You may not want to make coffee from that grinder again. Don't ask my why I know that. ;-)

I have found over the years that if you run raw rice thru the grinder after the spice- chili grind there is never a problem.

Just go get another one. You can have four. I just ground the anchos up. I'm eating cherries now. They have a hint of heat as I'm using my hands to eat them.
