Stocking BGE Store

Fire Up The Grill

I am in the process of stocking a Pool/Grill store in Florida. They are currently a BGE dealer without a lot of inventory. I have added different lump along with wood chips and chunks, Maverick thermometers, JH spices, a few sauces and accessories. We are going to restart our cooking club once a month along with Saturday cook-outs.
My question is,if my store was in your neighborhood what would you like to see in the store, and what would you rather purchase locally if you could?

Cooking as much as possible especially weekends. Drag an egg out and let it sell itself.
Gasket seem to be needed with the approbriate bonding agent.

Yes it is. We have moved our inventory partnered with a local pool supply store to help increase traffic. I will pm you with location. Hope all is well and feel free to give your advise as you are the type of person we will be re-stocking around.

That is great. Glad things worked out for you guys!! we were sad to see that you were closing when we headed for Maine at the end of the season. I would add the dizzy pig and Carnivore to your stock. Both very very good products that are getting quite a following. Keep us posted and we will make sure we are at the cooking club this year. wish we had found out about it sooner so we could have come last winter. we have 5 Eggers in our park now and I know some of them will want to come too. Also if you ever need extra hands to do a demo cook we would love to come help out
We could even bring an egg or two if you like

I know the place by me (50 damn miles away) never has enough Dizzy Pig or Wicked Charcoal. Also I would order some stuff from BBQ Guru and The Ceramic Grill store. I know I really want things from them but I am too stubborn and cheap to pay for shipping but too lazy to have that store order it for me. So I do without it until I fall into some money.
Pizza Peels? Good tongs (like oxo) and not the same old standard grill utensil grab? Thermapens? Firebricks? Have the things every egger ends up needing, but take awhile to figure out you need them. Look at all of the crap we buy in addition to our eggs and the stores by me never have any of it. That is why I hate going to them. If you are an egghead you will know what your store should have because you will be buying from there too! -
Lot of people can not get Mini's from dealer. Try to get several in stock.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

I also have a BGE only retail store in Lake Havasu, Az. We try to stock everything BGE makes. We always have all sizes available. Also we carry a complete line of Dizzy Pig Rubs, pizza peels, gurus, wood chunks, etc. We've been egging for quite a while, so we just make sure to carry anything we may need for backyard cooking or bbq competitions. BGE tables are big around here too. See-Yaa

I bought my first "clay" BGE while visiting the Atlanta store. They were cooking a pork loin and handing out samples. I was sold. That was in the 70's...I now have a ceramic large BGE and still have the old clay egg.
I would say, cook on the weekends and give demos to the newbies. The many attachments should be stocked, especially thermometers that are accurate.
