First pizza... improvised

2-week old egger here, I've cooked steaks (posted T-rex and Hot tub experiences last 2 days), chops, burgers, baby backs, brisket, scallops, shrimp... and now pizza. I found this forum just a few days ago or I would have photographed some other cooks.
Decided to try a pizza tonite and kept it very simple as I wasn't sure my old (thin) pizza stone would hold up. I don't have a plate-setter or a pizza peel either. I just went with a Mama Mary's premade crust, lotsa cheese, pepperoni, black olives. Turned out pretty damn good. Will definitely be trying again with my own pizza dough.
I improvised by setting the pizza stone on top of my cast iron skillet, used as a deflector, and cooked for about 9 mins @ 500F.

Olive oil on crust, sauce, basil, oregano, mozzarella, pepperoni, black olives, romano, parmesan

Pizza stone on top of cast iron skillet, egg at 500F

Checked at 7 mins, pulled at 9. Notice my top of the line pizza peel next to the pizza.

Time to eat!

My fan club, they enjoyed too

Nice job!! Looks better than my first pizza. I used the same peel you have and it did not even go on the stone quite right.

Pizza looks great. Our pizza peel was a cookie sheet which worked excellent. Your pizza looked more round than mine. I posted some pictures of our pizza earlier in the day if you want to look at them.. lol Oh yeah! Great fan club. I should have taken some pics of our fan club. She was ready for that dough the minute we took it out of the refrigerator.

Good job on the improvising! Looks like a success. Your list of cooks for your first two weeks is impressive!
