did some large rib eyes last night trying the TREX method for the first time. I now have quite a few chits with my wife so I should be good for awhile! She could not stop talking about them. They were the best steaks I have ever made!!

I am not sitting here with Ribs on my new XL egg, I love this thing!!

Once again thanks to all here as I used search and took tips from many, I have to screw up bad to be in real trouble now after cooking diner last night!!

and maybe after tonight???? I could be the worlds greatest husband!!

  • The Baby Backs are looking good, been on for a couple of hours and just but them in foil pan, coated them with honey and put apple juice in the pan covered with foil.

How long on this stage? or just use the toothpick to check in an hour or so?

The Backyard Championship recipe that came with my BGE says "about an hour" for this stage at 325 indirect. I am usually doing a lower temp so I make it a little longer.

  • i GOT THEM OFF AFTER ABOUT 45 MINUTES AND THEY PROBABLY COULD HAVE BEEN ON A LITTLE LONGER BUT THEY WERE WONDERFUL!!

MY BOTHER-IN-LAW AND SISTER-IN-LAW CAME OVER, THEY LOVE BABY BACK RIBS, AND THE FAMILY IS STIL TALKING ABOUT THEM AS I CAN HEAR THEM IN THE OTHER ROOM. A VERY NICE THING AS I DO NOT EAT THEM MYSELF.... I TRIED ONE AND IT WAS GOOD BUT NOT A RIB GUY BUT COOKING THEM WAS ACTUALLY FUN AND GLAD EVERYONE ENJOYED THEM.
