I have suceeded in smokin a butt and making pulled pork (Im so proud) ;)
And this is only my second weekend with my egg
But now I am wanting to start another adventure
My wife likes the sliced pork (and the beef) that is served at the local Sony's BBQ , I am sure that something like that can be done in the egg but I dont know where to start.
Can anyone give me some devine guidance.
Thanks
Glenn

  • Glenn,
Congratulations on the success you have had. I am making an assumption that you have a polder for your low & slow cooks. To make a Sonny's style sliced pork, I brine a pork loin and inject it too. Then smoke it to about 192 then pull it and wrap in foil for 30 minutes while the rest of the meal is prepped and delivered to the table. Slice across the grain. [p]The brine is the ticket on this cut of meat since it is very lean.[p]Good luck,
    Bnaker John
