I recently purchased a small egg. Can the small BGE hold a fire long enough to cook an 8 Lb Boston butt without adding charcoal?[p]Big John

    Big John,[p]Yes, an 8lb butt should take about 16 hrs at 250° dome. Fill the small with charcoal past the top of the firebox and up to nearly the top of the firering. The longest cook on our small to date has been 19 hrs without refueling....[p]Have fun!
