When posting pictures from photobucket the copy/paste opening and closing HTML img code comes in as caps "IMG" & "/IMG".

Gator Bait noticed that the HTML must be lower case in order to see the image when previewing a post.

Is it possible that the preview routing be changed to accept upper or mixed case as well as lower case?

I realize some changes to routines sound easy to change and in reality it might be a a lot of work?

Thanks for all the work you do.

Kent

Is doing this too hard or just a stupid idea?

    Grandpas Grub,

I'm not sure if you're asking about HTML tags (within angles like <img> ) ; or, "bbcode" tags (within square brakets like [ img ]).

For HTML tags, the browser interprets them, and, though most browers recognize both, lower case is correct.

For the bbcode tags, which is the best option to use for our forum, the code appears to recognize both upper and lower case; so, I'll have to look deeper.

It may help if you reply to this post with an image tag that doesn't work that I can use as an example.

    .

It is the bbcode tags (square brackets).

Using the green posting buttons we get [ url ] address [ /url ]

When copying the code from photobucket the img code comes in as all caps.

When preview is used (clicked on) if the html is in caps or mixed case the image will not preview. However, changing the upper or mixed case to lower, of the photobucket img code the image will preview.

It appears the preview feature only recognizes lower case and ignors upper case.

Not sure if the next two examples will work but I will give it a try.

This first code example will not show up in preview.

Changing the HTML to lower case and the image will show up in preview.

If it isn't too much programming work is there some tweeking that can be done to get the preview to accept both lower and upper or even mixed cast img open/close tags?
