Need rib advice
Memphis

Tonight I cooked a good ribs - not awesome but good. I used trimed spares with JJ's rub and the 3/1/1.5 method. They were cooked perfect, enough smoke, but were lacking in flavor. I did not use the mustard as some have advised. Does it really make a difference ??

Memphis,
The mustard does not add flavor, only some bark. You might want to try another rub or sauce the ribs during the last 15-30 minutes to add more or different flavors. Each time is a new experience; that's what makes cooking so much fun.
