New twist on sliders-sorry no pics

I made a bunch of sliders on the cast iron skillet. Was cutting hot dog buns in thirds to make the buns. After making 15 of them for me and my wife it was taking too long. The last one I shaped the meat into a long piece and used the whole hot dog bun.
I mixed 1LB ground beef with 3/4 cup beef broth. Dried onions soaked in water. The skillet was heated up, dropped the wet onions on the skillet, put the thin meat square on top of the onions. 2 min later I flipped the burger and put the bun bottom on the meat. Two more minutes I put it all together with mustard and pickle.

Sounds like a good plan..findin decent slider buns can be a pain...DrBBq had some in Waldorf that were actually called "Slider buns" 8 or so in the pack....not very practical if you are making 90 of em though, but they looked perfect..Hope all is well..

My wife said yours were better. I saw the slider buns today when I went for the hot dog buns. Sliders are suppose to be square not round. Also they were to thick. They need to be more like White Castle. Smashed down and greasy. Not just small hambergers.

Sounds just like White Castle Al. I think they are the ones that steam their burgers on a bed of chopped onion.

Them and Krystal's,and Krystal's stole the idea from WC.Kinda like Apple and Microsoft.Just hate we did'nt have sense enough to beat em to it! :woohoo:

Like Hoss said. We have Krystals here in Tampa. It did kinda have the taste of it.
