It was another rain soaked day in the WDC area but they got the game in and Randy Johnson was dealing thru 6 innings. Given the way MLB use pitchers today I doubt I'll ever see another 300 game winner in the big leagues. This truly was an historic day in baseball.

  • good stuff bill. .. .nice to be able to share an historic occassion with your son like that. . . you'll always be able to say "and I was there!!" . . .i saw all the replays and interviews last night. .. fans showed a lot of class, and randy was very gracious after the game in his interviews saying how nice the washington crowd was in chearing him on!! . .. hell, we don't have anything else to cheer for with the nats. ..

what was the old saying about the senators "first in war, first in peace, last in the american league" .. .still holds true even with a switch in leagues!!!

Congrats on being a part of history and you're right, there probably wont be another 300 winner for the next 10 years if not longer.

    Mad max,

you are so right.... The crowd was cheering for Randy all night long as were we. After the game and on the field it was the most humble Randy Johnson I've ever seen.

I forgot about the slogan - I'm still laughing
